his day long gathering in Houston in October 2003 addressed questions on the alternate means of transporting oil from ultra deep waters in the Gulf of Mexico to refineries around the Gulf Coast, i.e. the controversial future competition between Jones Act shuttle tankers and expansions of the established pipeline networks.
The event was organized by Peter Lovie and sponsored by SPE. Recognizing the current industry interest five years later (2008-2009) in the "Coming Shoot-out at the LT Corral", presentations have been re-assembled here by permission of the authors.
